Long Range Deer Shooting
I titled this as long range deer shooting because I really don’t see how this could be considered hunting. Apparently these two old guys set up benches and shooting rest and wait for deer to come out in nearby pastures. Audio in the video says the shot was 890 yards!!!! Shooting deer at distances stated (890 yds)could not even begin to be compared to hunting.
I’ve hunted for 30+ years and would never attempt such a STUPID stunt. I have won many shooting compititions with rifle and bow so marksmanship has no bearing on my view of this topic. I also have guided on a professional level for the past 27 years.
Hunting is a sport for sportsmen making smart, ethical, humane, quick-killing shots with the utmost respect for the game coming first and forthright EVERY SHOT!!!
These IDIOTS only care for the right to brag of their feats of STUPIDITY. Ranges of this proportion are in no way ethical, humane, nor right in my PROFFESIONAL opinion. The very fact that, they themselves, put it on video tells me they are not the brightest of the pack (about as sharp as a beachball).
This is what causes bad feelings toward hunters in general. (I guess that wouldn’t include these two). How many deer were wounded to run off and suffer needlessly before they were able to put this video together? Don’t tell me none or I’ll call you an outright LIAR!!
